Hello--
My name is Tina Phillips and I'm in the Queer/Straight Alliance at CSU East Bay in Hayward, CA. QueerFest is gearing up for it's fourth annual queer festival on the campus of CSU East Bay (AKA Cal State Hayward).
One of the events scheduled is:
Wednesday, February 11, 2009
SOCIAL and CELEBRATION: "Alternative Prom" Celebrate our diversity! Food, fun and entertainment; everyone's welcome! Hosted by the Queer-Straight Alliance. Original University Union 102, 6-9 PM
Unfortunately the event fell apart and now we are scrambling to re-create something social for the students. One idea is to get queer artists, poets, dancers, drag performers etc. to come and perform.
Are you willing to do it? If not do you know anyone who could make it last minute? We are also looking for volunteers or people willing to do it for a small travel stipend.
Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Thanks--
Tina
